Licensing observed that a log of lead in water flushes had not been kept since January 11, 2022 as per the facilities corrective action to mitigate the risk of lead in water and keeping a record of daily water flushes. ECE indicated the flushed had been done but not recorded, ECE was on a leave from January 2022 until April 2022.

    Corrective action. Ensure a facility is operated in manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care.

    Observation. In the second play room, Licensing observed heavy objects stored overhead that were not secured. Outdoors, Licensing observed broken railing on the deck and a large cement chunk with a partial fence post accessible to children.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the outdoor mud kitchen set was broken and the pretend burners were rusty. Licensing observed that the mound slide had settled creating a space under the slide which would cause a tripping hazard. The slide also had wood support on the side with an exposed end.
