    Observation. While reviewing the medications on site, two medications associated with care plans were found to be expired. The Manager noted that these children also bring valid medication to and from the program on a daily basis. To ensure that all medications associated with care plans can be administered as needed, all available medications must be valid. Additionally, the care plans for these medications will need to be updated to reflect the new expiration dates.

    Observation. Licensing observed multiple care plans with valid medication on site. However, medication administration permission were not on file.

    Observation. Licensing observed the emergency preparedness supplies were sufficient to meet the needs of the children and Licensee for a minimum of 72 hours. However, the emergency supplies were stored in the locked storage room away from the emergency exit.

    Observation. Licensing observed that several children did not have photos on file. A medication care plan had not been updated in within the last year. In addition, the form shows that the medication was expired. The medication was not available for Licensing to view as the child was not in attendance.

    Ground Surfacing: The depth of loose fill material (protective surfacing) meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of the Standard of Practice. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space]

    Observation. Licensing observed that the resilient surfacing has been added in the area where the spider climber is located. In the other areas with equipment, the resilient material has been compacted, which affects the resiliency of the material. In other areas, the surfacing material has shifted. The result is that there is not 6 inches of loose fill in many of the areas below and surrounding pieces of equipment.
