  Observation. The manager submitted a gross motor program policy specifically for the use of the studio room. The program states that the studio will be used exclusively for active play curricula; however, during today's visit, Licensing observed that during the music and movement class, children in the studio were drawing with paper and pen, and only a few children were actively participating in the music and movement program.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following items during today's visit: *JK1 Meadow: no toilet paper was made available to children in all three toilet stalls. *JK1 Coast: there is a hole in the wall exposing foam, the hole is within access of the children and children's hand can get caught in it.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the emergency food supplies expired in March 2025.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the care plans were incomplete, with the location of the medication not indicated.

  Observation. LO noted: - wood rot noted on the exiting small wood retaining wall. Decay on playground wood caused by moisture or fungi, can significantly weaken the structure, increasing the risk of accidents and structural failure. - a metal pipe sticking out from a concrete wall had sharp edges and was accessible to children

  Observation. LO noted a junction box was accessible to children and had two screws protruding; unknown if current was positive. A temporary plastic bin was placed on top-unsecured

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing noted the cedar hedge trees were dried. The area is partially exposed and posing risk for injuries to children that could access the area.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing noted that the fire drill system was not practiced in November 2023. The emergency plan was practiced on October 19,2023.

  Observation. Licensing officer noted that additional sink and toilet were installed in children's bathrooms. Licensing has not received prior installation a plan for review and approval.

  Observation. Licensing officer observed the following: - one missing vinyl plank flooring that created a gap between the floor and baseboard area. The area was posing a risk for injuries - floors were not cleaned and sanitized. Sand and other debris was observed under the rugs and along the baseboards - heavy items stored on open shelves\unsecured in children's bathrooms above a toilet and a sink
