    Observation. The Manager/staff provided a check list with dates and signatures of staff that was for the outdoor play space inspections. The check list did not contain information about what is being checked

    Observation. The facility has gathered 72 hours of food and water supplies that are kept in a duffle bag. The food and water tetra packs were inspected and confirmed to be expired. A VCH Emergency Drill sheet with both Fire and Earthquake drills was sent to the Licensee.

    Observation. At today's inspection the power cut out. It appeared to be out on the whole block. There was enough natural light to continue with lunch and the Licensee present stated that they would contact BC Hydro to see when the power would be back on. They would contact parents to let them know they might have to close early The licensee reported that there had been a power outage a few months ago..they closed the program..The Licensee did not know they are required to report to LO Hautala by phone or email and then submit an Incident report under Service Delivery Problem.

    Observation. 1 child had medical condition noted that has food sensitivities with no Care Plan developed with the parent This child also had several food items listed by the parent as allergies. No Care Plan was developed/no procedure with Emergency medication was confirmed with the parent. A sign in/sign out sheet was not being used. The staff had a monthly attendance form. The Registration form did not have date of enrollment(start date) and leaving date for children

    Observation. Licensing observed there were not enough outdoor activities that were designed for the development and care and appropriate for the age and development of children enrolled at the facility.

    Observation. Originally found out of compliance on March 20, 2024. Licensing observed a staff file did not have current criminal record check. Licensee stated the documentation required to be sent in by mail and not electronically.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the program is not using the cleaning and sanitizing procedures as per VCH protocols. Licensing also observed children's bedding is stacked together, which is a risk for cross-contamination and may cause illness.

    Observation. Licensing observed the children's climber did no have safety zones around the equipment to allow for the safe and proper use of the equipment.

    Observation. Licensing observed the fire extinguisher expired in 2023 and has not been serviced.

Licensing observed the following when reviewing the children's files: -six children's files did not have their Medical Insurance Plan Number, -four files did not have children start date - one file did not have an immunization status - one child did not have permission to call a medical practitioner or an ambulance.
