  Observation. Licensing Officer observed that the trim on the red toy shelf has detached, creating a potential hazard as it is accessible to children.

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed that, in one file, the parent(s) have listed themselves as the emergency contact.

  Observation. During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed the following: -photo or digital image is not kept for 1 child -medical practitioner information is not kept for 2 children -emergency contact information is not kept for 2 children -immunization status is not kept for 3 children

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry [CCLR Sec. 19(4)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed no documentation available for review to confirm that staff ECE certificates have been validated by the registry.

  There is evidence of employees' continued compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs. [CCLR Sec 21(1)]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed no evidence that an immunization status has been obtained for 1 staff.

• MEDICATION / MedicationNon-critical

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed: - 2 children with allergies that require medication did not have administration of medication forms completed - 1 child's epi pen expired in 2024. - 1 child's asthma inhaler and epi pen expired in 2024.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed a sampling of children's records: - 6 children were missing medical practitioner information - 4 children were missing photographs - 1 child did not have a medical insurance plan number - 1 child did not have documentation to support the facility can call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached Licensing observed departure times are not being captured

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Licensing reviewed staff files: - 1 staff had an expired criminal record check that was addressed to a college - 2 staff did not have character references

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing observed documentation of fire and earthquake drills are not kept.

  Care plans are not reviewed at least once a year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. [CCLR Sec. 58(2)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed that one child's a emergency care plan is overdue for annual renewal, and one child's emergency care plan is missing information.
