    Observation. The fire extinguishers throughout the facility were inspected in February 2026. The servicing tags indicated that the extinguishers did not pass inspection.

    All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Wooden play structure is showing signs of deterioration, with crumbling wood along the top siding area where children enter. - A step on the ladder of the wooden play structure is loose and wiggling. - Sealant around the children’s handwashing sink in the Butterfly room is separating from the bowl. The area around the base of the faucet fixtures has worn coating, exposing rusted sections. This wear may affect the fixtures’ ability to be effectively cleaned and sanitized.

    Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

    Observation. Licensing observed that one childs EpiPen has expired. Licensing also observed that a child requiring an EpiPen had Aerius available. While not in non compliance LO explained to the educators that Epinephrine should be the first line of defense and no other medication should be used instead. Licensing has provided resources.
