  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed plastic bags stored accessible to children in the washroom. (Addressed during inspection.) A drawer which holds tacks, batteries etc was unlocked and accessible to children. Keys in locks were observed in doors leading to various space ie mechanical room, storage room, earthquake supplies. As discussed with the Manager, it is understandable to want to have easy access to these areas however children's access should be restricted. The Manager informed that another system will be implemented.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Dirt and dust was observed a the base of the toilets and along the bottom of the tiles in the bathroom. The caulking at the base of the toilets has worn away.
