  Observation. No records of annual emergency drill.

  Observation. Emergency exit was blocked from both sides of the door. ( violation repeated)

  Corrective action. Please ensure that there is an adequate plan and procedure in place to respond to an emergency.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. The following were observed during today's inspection; -Closet door in the nap room and small play room need to be secured from finger pinching -Diaper rash creams were stored under the change table accessible to children.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided to children while in care.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. The following were observed; -Outdoor play area surface is uneven. It is missing patches of grass. --Small playroom closet door has a hole in it that is at child's level. -Diaper change mat is ripped from parts, exposing the filling and difficult to sanitize adequately

  Corrective action. Please ensure that facility is clean and in good repair.

  Observation. ECE staff certificate was not posted in the facility.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all staff certificates are posted prominently in the facility.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to have a proper plan and procedures to evacuate children in the event of emergency.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. There are some small trees outside in the backyard that are surrounded by wire fencing. The top of the fencing tips are exposed and appear sharp and rusty.

  Corrective action. Please ensure this is addressed as it may cause injury to children.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. The following was observed inside the facility: -a kitchen cupboard door is hanging off a broken hinge -the carpet in the small playroom has come away from the wall exposing the underlay and wood underneath -a seat covering of a high chair that is used requires cleaning

  Corrective action. Please ensure facility is in good repair at all times.

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.

  Observation. There are three staff that may work at this facility at anytime. No copies of their certificates are posted. They are in the staff's files.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that any staff that have been issued a certificate by the ECE Registry and work in the facility, the certificate is posted.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. 7 children's files were reviewed and 3 children are missing Dr's name and number.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children's files are complete prior to children attending.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. 7 children's files were reviewed and 2 do not have immunization status on file.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all children's documents are complete prior to the attending.

  Observation. One ECE staff that is working at this facility does not have their certificate posted.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all certificates of staff are posted in the facility.
