- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The following items were noted: -Fridge is used for milk storage, no thermometer is kept within the fridge in order to ensure it is at a safe temperature (4 Degrees Celsius or below) -Sanitizer spray bottle is not labelled.
Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before June 1, 2026
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. -There care plan was not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent. -There is a child who requires a care plan as they have an intolerance.
Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before June 1, 2026

Observation. Licensing reviewed two staff files. A Criminal Record Check has not been obtained for one staff.
Corrective action. The Manager confirmed that the staff files would be complete by the end of the week.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation. Licensing reviewed two staff files. One of the files did not contain evidence that the Early Childhood Educator License has been verified by the early childhood educator registry.
Corrective action. The Manager confirmed that all the staff files would be complete by the end of the week.

Observation. Licensing reviewed two staff files. Immunization status was not obtained for one of these employees.
Corrective action. The Manager confirmed that the staff files would be complete by the end of the week.

Observation. Licensing observed that one out of the two staff files inspected did not contain a site specific criminal record check. A clarifying conversation with that staff indicated that a site specific CRC has been applied for. A valid CRC from a college is on file for this employee.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Licensing observed that the children in attendance were not signed in with time of arrival. A conversation with the manager indicated that the children are checked off as being in attendance after the children leave. Licensing provided clarification on the intent of attendance records and legislative requirements.
Corrective action. Ensure that a daily attendance record is kept.
