  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. The staff described both Infant Toddler programs as running independently at 7:30 AM, however, the one of the IT programs does not have an IT qualified staff until 8:15 AM. The review of attendance confirmed that both programs have children dropped off by 7:30 AM.

  Corrective action. Discussed appropriate staffing levels in staff number and qualification with the Staff. A written corrective plan to be submitted to Licensing.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. There is unfinished wood under the hand washing sinks which is completely splintered . The cupboard under the sink was not locked, making it accessible to children in care.

  Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

  The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing observed that a care plan had not been reviewed annually as required.

  Corrective action. Ensure care plans are reviewed at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
