    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. The fence in the outdoor play space is in disrepair. There are numerous boards missing and others that are rotten, loose and failing out. The wood gate is also in disrepair with boards falling out and nails exposed and accessible to the children in care.

    Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair at all times.

    Observation. Although the staff member on site states that fire drills have been conducted monthly and emergency drills are conducted yearly, a fire drill has not been documented since June 2023 and an emergency drill has not been recorded in the past year.

    Corrective action. Ensure to conduct and document fire and emergency drills.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the TV noted in the previous inspection report has not been secured to prevent tipping hazard. A clarifying conversation with the Licensee indicted that the items required to secure the TV have been obtained and TV will be secured in the next few days.
