Written confirmation from the operator regarding immediate compliance with Section 5 of the CCALA and that the operator understands the requirements as outlined in the CCALA regarding the number of children permitted in care at one time without a licence was received via email by Licensing on January 30, 2024 at 1:46pm.

Observation. On January 4, 2024 it was observed that two children were dropped off at 12115 Marshall Crescent between 8:00 A.M. - 8:30AM. At 9:00 A.M. when the investigation licensing officers rang the door bell, the adult who answered the door denied entry but confirmed there were 4 children in total being provided care. Therefore the complaint for an unlawful facility at 12115 Marshall Crescent, Summerland is Substantiated as per Section 5 of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
