  Observation. This playground is fully exposed to sun and wind. There is zero shade on the playground protecting children's safety and furthering the disintegration of the climber and other play equipment. Facility has previously purchased marquee tents but the tents are quickly damaged in the wind. Playground ground surfacing is pea gravel which does not provide any natural cooling.

  Observation. Pea gravel is used as a protective surface on playground. The facility is located in a fully exposed lot with no protection from sun. Manager reports that the playground is extremely hot and dusty in the spring and summer months.
