  Observation. Licensing observed one Early Childhood Educator Assistant and one Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with seven children in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program. This program requires at minimum one Infant and Toddler Educator and one ECE with seven children. This was corrected during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed that two educator certificates were not verified.

  Corrective action. Ensure all educators and assistant educators certificates are verified.

• Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed two Early Childhood Educators (ECE) with six children when an Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) was required in ratio. Manager stated that one of the ECEs had completed Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE) training and had applied to the Early Childhood Educator Registry for certification. This staff had an exemption in place to act as an ITE that expired October 15, 2024.

  Corrective action. Ensure the ratio of employees to children is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed that an emergency drill had not been recorded in the past year. Manager stated that the staff had walked through the emergency drill procedures with the full recreation center but the practice was not recorded.

  Corrective action. Ensure a record is kept showing compliance with section 22(2)(b) and (c).
