    Observation. Licensing observed: - a wooden fence, approximately 9 feet in length and located along one side of the house enclosing the play area, is leaning and not properly secured between the bush and the house. This poses a potential safety hazard. - the outdoor play equipment appears to be stained. Discussion took place to have a cleaning schedule in place.

    All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

    Observation. Licensing observed: - there is insufficient safety clearance around a climbing structure, as it is positioned too close to a shed. This creates a risk of injury should a child fall. - there is not enough outdoor play materials for the number of children enrolled in the program.

    Observation. During the Routine Follow up Inspection, LO observed an ECE staff alone with 4 children without an IT staff present at the facility. The IT staff arrived shortly after he was contacted by the ECE staff. Discussion took place regarding having an IT staff at the facility at all times.

    Observation. LO observed a wooden deck area has been constructed in the outdoor play space. Licensing was not made aware of the plan to construct a wooden deck area in the outdoor play space or provided with floor plans. Discussion took place with manager with regards to structural changes to the facility are to be approved by Licensing.
