  Observation. Licensing observed that there was only five months to review which prevented Licensing from reviewing the drills over the year. Licensing reminded the Licensee that the fire drills are conducted monthly and the emergency drill is conducted on a different day of the month from the fire drill.

  Observation. The thermometer in the fridge was an oven thermometer and therefore unable to provide an accurate reading.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the clover had overgrown in the yard, roots from trees and rocks were partially exposed, presenting a risk of a child injuring themselves.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the Licensee is not keeping a log of maintenance of equipment.

  Observation. Licensing has reviewed the current policies and procedures and observed there are some changes to be included to meet current legislative requirements.

  Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that there was limited to no toys and materials, which would enhance the large pieces of equipment made available for children to engage in play. Eg. Basket ball for the hoop, buckets and shovels for at lease 4 children to play with in the sandbox, Dishes for the kitchen sets. etc.

  Observation. It appears that there is limited access to the garbage for the children to place the single use paper towels as children were leaving them on the counter.

  Observation. It was observed the staff members record of the person's work history was not included in the file.
