- A licensee must ensure that safe drinking water is available to children.
Observation. Licensing observed the corrective action plan for lead in water had not been followed since June 2023. The Licensee stated that she conducts the water flushes every morning but has not recorded the flushes.
Corrective action. Ensure that safe drinking water is available to children.
3050 - CCLR 48(5) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]
Observation. Licensing observed the fire drills had not been recorded since April 2023 and not emergency drill had been done in the last year.
Corrective action. Ensure current record is kept for implementation of monthly fire drills and yearly emergency plan practices.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information:(i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency
Observation. Licensing audited four children's files and observed one missing photo to readily identify in case of an emergency.
Corrective action. Ensure all children's files have photo/digital image to readily identify child in case of an emergency.

Observation. Licensing audited four children's files and observed one missing person's not permitted access.
Corrective action. Ensure all children's files have person's not permitted access.

Observation. Licensing observed that no log of the outdoor play space inspections, maintenance and repairs was recorded at the facility.

Observation. Licensing observed the corrective action for the lead in water had not been recorded since June 2023. Licensee stated she was running the water for two minutes every day but had not recorded the two minute flush.
Corrective action. Ensure the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of the person in care.
