  Observation. Two children present require a care plan and do receive extra support. Staff have been documenting how the children are participating in the program is a log book however, a care plan needs to be created so that all staff involved in care can have access to communication strategies.

  There is an established program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene. [CCLR Sec. 46(1)]

  Observation. Facility uses cloth towels repeatedly for hand drying.

  A record for each child containing the name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(d)]

  A covered container for soiled clothing has not been provided. [CCLR Sec. 14(4)(a)]

  Observation. Containers used for soiled diapers do not have lids.

  The licence is displayed in a prominent place in the facility, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and including the name of the manager. [CCLR Sec. 11(1)(2); CCALA Sec.7(c)]

  Observation. Photo copy of licence is posted.

  The licensee has not obtained a criminal record check for all persons ordinarily present on the premises. [CCLR Sec. (20)(1)]

  Observation. Noted that all staff have a check through the local RCMP, however, to meet this requirement a criminal record check must be done through the Criminal Records Review Program.
