  A record for each child containing the daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(c)]

  Observation. Facility has some children that attend on a drop-in bases and staff do not have prior knowledge before the start of the program as to which children to expect. Sometime these children are playing after school with friends and/or siblings and the line of who is responsible gets blurred for program staff. Without a determined enrollment for each day, it is hard to ensure ratios are maintained and difficult for staff to know when to follow-up on children that don't show up after school.

  Observation. Staff advise that they have not practiced a fire drill for months. Staff onsite today had no knowledge of this requirement.

  Observation. Observed child playing on ipad. As per DOLSOP, screen time should not be included in programs that are 3 hours or less.

  Observation. Child using ipad violates SD47's own Screen Time/Active Play Policy.

  Observation. During visit, staff and child sitting outside while child played on ipad.

  Observation. Staff do not have access to consents for someone other than the parent to pick up child from the program.

  Observation. Staff person on site does not have access to any of the children's information. Ipad program only allows for sign in and sign out. Emergency information in binder is for children that no longer are in the program.
