  Observation. In the outdoor play area, Licensing observed that the wood that edges the grass and play areas is breaking down and could cause splinters. This was originally found out of compliance on May 1, 2024 and has not yet been corrected. Respond to Licensing with a plan to come into compliance as well as a plan to keep children safe until compliance is met.

  Observation. It was observed that the wooden borders of the garden boxes in the outdoor play space have aged, are splitting, and exposing children to rough and splintered edges. This poses as a risk of injury to children.

  Observation. Verifications from the BC ECE Registry were missing from the staff records.

  Observation. Three children requiring extra support do not have care plans in their files.

  Observation. New manager's name was not posted in the facility. Please ensure the manager's name is posted.

  Observation. Medical practitioner's information is missing from one child's file.

  Observation. Several divots were observed on the grassy area and pose as a significant risk of injury to the children. Please ensure the divots are repaired. The wooden rail ties and borders around the play space are splitting and splintering and pose a risk of injury to the children. Please repair so children are not at risk. The wooden rail tie border that separates the concrete area from the sandbox area is in poor condition, with differing heights that pose as a tripping hazard to children. Please repair so children are not at risk to trip over this area.
