Observation. To date, the required record of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events has not been kept by the Licensee. Child registration records were reviewed and were found to be missing some of the required information such as, information that can be used to identify a child in an emergency, and a record of persons not permitted access to the child.

Observation. Fire drill records could not be found today. The licensee states she has completed monthly fire drills and recorded them but the paper is missing.

Observation. A child is missing the care card and doctors name and phone number. It is stated that they are working on getting the care card number and the child does not have a family doctor at this time.

Observation. Ensure children do not have access to the family hand towel in the bathroom. Single use towels must be used at all times.

Observation. Children have access to dishwasher detergent under the kitchen sink. Ensure this area is made child safe. The large swimming pool has been removed from the play yard and in its place climbers have been placed on the sand area. The sand is hard packed and does not provide any resiliency at this time. As discussed, the Director of Licensing Standard of Practice states all equipment must meet the manufacturers safety guidelines. Ensure you are meeting these guidelines to ensure safety of the children. Razors and shaving cream were found in the bathroom which are accessible to children. Ensure these are safely stored.
