    Observation. Two staff certificates have not been verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the ECE Registry. Provide evidence the certificates have been verified.

    Observation. Many of the sleep mats used in the Group Childcare (30 months to school age) program are in poor repair. Ensure the mats used for sleeping are in good repair and the inner foam of the mats is not exposed.

    Observation. The manager shared that a pest control firm was hired but the odor has returned, though not to the degree as before. It was observed during the inspection the windows were open and as a result, no odor was able to be detected. A referral to Environmental Health was made, and as a result of an inspection by an Environmental Health Officer, the presence of mice droppings were discovered behind the furnace and inside a floor vent. Recommendations to address this issue were provided to the licensee by the Environmental Health Officer and must be completed.
