  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - the outdoor play area is not enclosed, the north side of the outdoor play area is barrier free.

  Observation. Licensing observed insufficient supplies within the emergency evacuation kit for all children and staff.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Licensing observed no photograph or digital images within children's records that can be readily used to identify the child in an emergency.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Licensing reviewed staff files and observed one CRC- criminal record check was missing. Manager informed Licensing that the CRC application was submitted.

  At all times children have immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, is knowledgeable respecting each child's medical condition, if any, and is capable of communicating with emergency personnel. [CCLR Sec. 23(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed Licensee has no valid first aid and CPR certificate.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the emergency supplies, including both water and food, had expired in 2017.

  There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56(1)(f)]

  Observation. Licensing was unable to observe a minor incident log. The Licensee informed Licensing that she has not been recording because she communicates regularly with the parents.

  A record for each child containing the name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(a)]

  Observation. The Licensee informed Licensing that she conducts regular checks but has not been documenting them.

  The diaper change area is not adjacent to a hand wash basin. [CCLR Sec. 14(4)(b)]; A covered container for soiled clothing has not been provided. [CCLR Sec. 14(4)(a)]

  Observation. Diapers were being changed in the main play space.

  Observation. Licensing observed phone and sound machine cables in the nap room and a blind chord in the main play area that were all accessible to children.
