The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]
Observation. The outdoor fencing needs to be repaired/replaced as the gate is no longer sturdy and leads to the direct access main road way as well as long stairwell. There are two sections that the children must walk up to get the main backyard and both are closed off by a gate. Both of these gates must be repaired. Then at the main backyard area there is one section of yard area that has snow fencing to block the children from a large drop zone of over 4.5 feet. This must be repaired and replaced with secure fencing so the children are in a secured backyard area. Licensing supports the licensee in her application for the emergency repair/replacement grant.
