A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].
Observation. There is a large sandbox in the back yard with a cover to prevent rain accumulation and for that it is effective, however, animals can easily access the sand box as was evident from all the small foot prints. The side gate which is used to access the program by parents is difficult to shut as the moisture in the wood appears to have expanded. A discussion was had with the licensee about adding a smaller gate at the end of the walk way closest to the play space. This will provide security and support ease of supervision as the pathway is out of sight while children are in the yard.

Observation. There are several children who do not have an alternate authorized persons who are not the child's parents listed in their records.
