  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. LO noted one epi-pen was expired from May 2025.The child requiring the medication was not in attendance at the time of this inspection,however was till enrolled in care.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Play Area, Materials and EquipmentNon-critical

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. LO noted: -exposed electrical wires on the outside play area. The pole appears to have missing the cover part and the electrical wires were visible. This is a potential shock hazard,especially for children - a wooden equipment over 4ft was not securely anchored and was climbable,therefore the equipment could be easily tilted and is posing a safety risk.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. LO noted two care plan were not up to date. One care plan for asthma and one for anaphylaxis.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. LO reviewed with the manager the legislation requirement to ensure that the emergency plan is practiced once a year and a record maintained. Fire drills in the Oak room were noted recorded for July,August and September. Ensure the staff are trained and the emergency plan is practiced by the end of 2025. LO will review the facility's emergency plan.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. There are area rugs with curling edges creating a tripping hazard. By design, high ceilings and bare walls / floors can create an environment with poor acoustics, this was observed in the classrooms. Janitorial supplies ( mops and brooms) accessible to children.
