Observation. Licensing observed the following: - a lawn mover under a tarp within the children outdoor play area. Licensee plans to relocate to the non-children side of the outdoor play area.

Observation. Licensing observed a missing CRC for one staff. Licensing reminded Licensee until a clear criminal record check is obtained that staff can not be left alone with the children.

Staff are trained in the implementation of the fire drill system and the emergency plan, including the use of any equipment noted in the fire drill system and emergency plan. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(a)]
Observation. Licensing did not observed any emergency preparedness supplies with food and water for a 72 hour period on site for all children and staff. Once emergency preparedness kit is obtained, Licensing recommends making facility emergency kit portable for easy transportation in the event of an evacuation.

Observation. The Licensee has displayed her certificate but not that of her assistant. To be noted, the ECE certificate is expiring Sept. 10, 2024.

Observation. When the LO arrived and knocked at the door, two children answered, then a third appeared and it was several moments before an adult ( Licensee) arrived at the door. There is an extension cord hanging down from the upper deck outside, extending along the ground, within reach of the children. The gate that separates the licensed space from the rest of the home is on the third step and is situated in such a way as it creates an entrapment area. There was water in the bottom of some of the outdoor play equipment, ( also a garbage can)this water would have been from a previous day as it had a fair amount of debris in it. The shed door was not locked despite a lock hanging from the door. The gate does not close / latch properly.
