    A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

    Observation. Licensing observed the following items: *Both the children’s and adults’ washrooms do not have individual paper towels available. This poses a hygiene concern. *The portable potty toilets are not being cleaned immediately after use. During today’s visit, urine was observed remaining in the potty toilets.

    The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: *Children’s plastic fence panels are located adjacent to the climber do not provide the required 6 ft clearance on all sides. *Metal stools stacked on top of one another near the water table pose a tipping hazard. *A round plastic children’s table stored on its side poses a tipping hazard by the water table. *Four toddler ride-on cars and huge metal tables were observed in the covered area. The Licensee confirmed that children use the cars in this space; however, there is limited room for safe maneuvering. This poses a risk of injury, as the restricted space does not allow children to use the cars safely and appropriately.

    There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the emergency supplies and noted that the food expired in November 2025 and that emergency blankets were not included. Licensing recommends adding diapers, wipes, and a portable changing mat to the emergency supplies, as there are children in care who still require these items.

    Observation. Licensing observed 4 children under the age of 36 months with one educator present during this inspection. A multi-age child care program can only have 3 children younger than 36 months with an educator as per schedule E of Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR). A conversation with Licensee regarding applying for a temporary placement request to comply with schedule E staff ratios and group sizes requirement.

    Observation. Licensing observed various loose electrical cords in the nap room these pose an entanglement hazard. Licensing observed knives in the dishwasher that were easily accessible to the children. The knives were removed from the dishwasher during the inspection. Licensing observed a pair of adult sized scissors on a table in the outdoor play space. The scissors were removed during the inspection.

    Observation. Several children do not have an Immunization Record. New form was sent by email that allows parent to tick box The caregiver has daily sign in sheets but they were blank today. Caregiver states she throws the sheet away at the end of the day.
