    A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

    Observation. Three out of four care plans had not been updated to reflect the current needs of the child. One care plan did not include the course of action for a food allergy.

    Corrective action. The staff said all care plans will be updated and reviewed by staff. She said yearly reviews of care plans will be done and updated through the year as required.

    A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.

    Observation. there is an area carpet in the 3-5 room that is in poor repair ,( fixed at ttime of inspection), there are two shelves in the infant toilet that are not secure

    Corrective action. the licensee removed the carpet and willt secure the shelving

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. the storage of toys on the cubbies is a potential hazard in the event of an earthquake

    Corrective action. the licensee has a plan to address this issue, they will be looking at installing cupboard but due to availability has not bee able to,please ensure the task is completed as soon as possible.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. the following areas are in need of repair or replacement, 1.there is a area carpet in the e 3-5 room that has become a tripping hazard with the corner turned up, 2.the outside door to the electrical equipment is in poor repair the wooden part of the door is rotting and peeling leaving the electrical area accessible to possible rodents.

    Corrective action. please ensure the carpet is replace or secured so that it is no longer a tripping hazard, please replace the door to ensure the electrical area is secure.please develop a plan as to how the above will be addressed.
