  Corrective action. The fridge temperature was lowered while on site and it was discussed taping the dial and using a fridge thermometer to maintain the temperature of 0-4 degrees Celsius.

  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. Licensing noted there was no record that a fire drill was completed for October 2021.

  Corrective action. Ensure a current record is kept respecting compliance with section 22(2)(b)(c) of the CCLR.

  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (f) a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H.

  Observation. Upon discussion with staff, it was confirmed that minor incidences have occurred, however these incidences have not been documented.

  Corrective action. Ensure current records are kept of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and noted one did not contain a record of immunization status.

  Corrective action. Ensure record of immunization status is obtained for each employee.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry.   Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and noted one did not contain a record of certificate verification. This is a repeat contravention.

  Corrective action. Ensure all educator and educator assistant certificates are verified using a system established and maintained by the early childhood registry.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 7 attendance records and noted 2 departure times were not recorded.

  Corrective action. Ensure the daily attendance record indicates for each day the child is present, times of arrival and departure.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry,

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff records and noted one current certificate verification was not available. This is a repeat contravention.

  Corrective action. Ensure all early childhood education or assistant certificates have been verified.
