    A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

    Observation. Hot water was measured at 54.1 degree in the children's washroom sink

    Corrective action. Licensee said she will keep the hot water temperature under 49 degree. In the meantime, increase supervision when children washing their hands in the washroom

  • HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. Children are not using single use towels to dry their hands after hand hygiene.

    Corrective action. Licensee said she will ensure single use towels for children to dry their hands.

    Observation. Emergency medication was observed but care plan not developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cleaning product Clorox observed under the bathroom sink accessible to children in care.

    Corrective action. The product was moved to be inaccessible while licensing was on site.
