A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. It was identified that there were numerous spots on walls where the paint is peeling and drywall is exposed. It was also identified that the walls in Preschool room 2 were visibly dirty.
Corrective action. Ensure that the furniture, equipment, and fixtures are clean and in good repair.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - MEDICATION
If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.
Observation. 1 child requiring medication did not have any available.
Corrective action. Ensure that medication is available.
16020 - CCLR s.53(1)(b) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. There was no record of emergency drill completed for the last 2 years or for a fire drill in July 2021.
Corrective action. Ensure that a current record is kept showing compliance for section 22(2)(b) and (c)

Corrective action. Ensure that each employee has evidence of verification of an educator or assistant certificate. The Manager corrected this while Licensing was on site.
