  Observation. Review of staff/volunteer files noted immunization status were not obtained for 2 volunteers/students.

  Corrective action. Manager said she will ensure to obtain the immunization status and update the files.

  Observation. Inspection of the emergency supplies noted there were some expired food and water items.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to have a system in place to check and replenish emergency supplies.

  Observation. Review of 9 children's files observed 2 did not have records of the medical insurance plan number.

  Observation. Review of 6 staff files observed 1 with an expired criminal record check, there was evidence that a renewal had been applied for. Plan is in place for staff not to be working alone.

  Observation. The attached form of the facility License was not posted.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the facility License is posted in a prominent place in the community care facility.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. It was identified that there were numerous spots on walls where the paint is peeling and drywall is exposed. It was also identified that the walls in Preschool room 2 were visibly dirty.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the furniture, equipment, and fixtures are clean and in good repair.

  If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.

  Observation. 1 child requiring medication did not have any available.

  Corrective action. Ensure that medication is available.

  Observation. There was no record of emergency drill completed for the last 2 years or for a fire drill in July 2021.

  Corrective action. Ensure that each employee has evidence of verification of an educator or assistant certificate. The Manager corrected this while Licensing was on site.
