• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. It was observed that the emergency food and water was insufficient and expired.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to have sufficient emergency supplies to respond to and recover from an emergency and that items are checked regularly to ensure they are not expired.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. It was noted there were multiple days in March and April 2024 where the departure times were not recorded.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to record the departure times for all children in attendance.

  Observation. During inspection Licensing observed the fire extinguisher was not serviced annually.

  Observation. 4 children's files were reviewed; 2 children's MSP number were missing.

  Corrective action. Ensure all children's files are complete.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached.

  Observation. No consents were obtained from the parents for all children enrolled ( medical emergency) in case the parents cannot be immediately reached.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that all children files are complete.
