Observation. At the time of inspection, the Manager stated that the facility's hours of operation had changed. Ensure to immediately provide notification of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility.

Observation. The fire extinguisher was observed to be due for servicing. Ensure facility has a fire drill system that is approved as defined in section 2.8.3 of the British Columbia Fire Code.

Observation. The Licensee’s Criminal Record Check expired in July 3, 2023. There are no current Criminal Record Check Clearances received for the Licensee and other persons over the age of 12 who reside at this address. A clear Criminal Record Check is required for the Licensee to operate as well as for all residents 12 years and up.

Observation. The fire extinguisher was due for servicing in September 2023. The licensee must ensure that the fire extinguisher is working to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Some of the children's records do not have photographs. One of the child's records was resolved during the inspection.

Observation. The airplane teeter totter has a bolt and two safety bushings missing. Ensure this is made safe and the equipment is kept in good repair. The slide/climber does not have a six foot exit area beyond the end of the slide presenting a possible hazard. Ensure equipment is installed according to the manufacturers safety guidelines.

Observation. The licensee states outdoor yard checks are completed daily however a log is not kept. Please ensure these logs for outdoor play space are completed and kept on file.

Observation. The outdoor climbing structure has a cracked and broken door which requires repair or removal. Outdoor daily yard checks should identify these issues so they can be tended to in a timely manner. Please advise how you will address this.
- C9.1 - Are there plans and actions in place to ensure medications are stored and administered properly?Non-critical
Observation. An Epi-pen and allergy medication is being kept for a child with no instructions or consent from parent. Ensure you have detailed records of how and when to administer emergency medications and any other medications that parents have provided as discussed.
