• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Licensing observed on the playground's bike path, that there are several areas where the roots of trees have created cracks in the path that could pose as hazards to children walking or riding bikes.

  Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair while children are in attendance

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. One staff person is missing their CRC, there is a valid CRC for the person, process has started to have new one completed for the individual.

  Corrective action. Please ensure CRC is completed prior to the person starting employment

  Observation. Fire drill for September was not conducted for 2 groups. All other months have been completed
