    Corrective action. Licensee stated that staff are all immunized and will provide a record of immunization for each employee

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Inspection of the back yard found the following: - 3 fence panels at the corner and back of the property require repair or replacement - resilient materials around the climber has eroded and requires replacement or redistribution to provide sufficient coverage in the fall area. - a limb from a neighbour's tree has broken and requires removal to prevent an injury. The licensee has proposed making this area unavailable to child with construction netting until a more permanent solution can be found.

    Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. During inspection of the outside play area, it was found that there were fence panels and posts that were not longer in use that were not secured or removed and are being stored in an area that children have access to.

    Corrective action. Ensure children do not have access to the unsecured fence panels and posts.

    Observation. A review of daily attendance records for the past several months revealed that on several occasions, all 6 - 7 children in attendance were missing departure times.

    Observation. Licensee's first aid expired January 14, 2020, Licensee could not confirm if it was renewed, or the certificate was unavailable. There is a second person with a valid certificate most of the time.
