Observation. During inspection of the physical facility it was observed that loose staples were accessible to children in various places on the wall. Children may be able to pick this off which poses as a hazard.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry,
Observation. A review of 2 staff files found that one of the staff files did not have verification of ECE qualifications.
Corrective action. Ensure all staff certificates have been verified by the licensee using the system established by the director of ECE registry.
