    Corrective action. Please ensure immunization status is available for all staff.

    A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

    Observation. Although staff are aware of when medication needs to be administered, no care plan available for one child requiring extra support.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a care plan that includes the diagnosis and symptoms relevant to the child's requirement for extra support.

    Observation. One staff has an RCMP criminal record check. The manager said a criminal record check has been applied for through the CRRA but has not been received yet.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that a criminal record check issued through the CRRA is available for all staff when they start work.

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.

    Observation. Landscaping felt and irrigation hoses are exposed and accessible to children. These pose a tripping hazard. Although the manager stated that additional bark mulch had been added to the yard it is difficult to keep these items covered due the slope of some areas of the yard. CCFL also observe an area of fence is missing the bottom board.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that all area of the outdoor playground are in good repair.
