A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two pest control devices were accessible to children, located next to the facility door which leads to the playground space as they exit and enter the child care facility.

Corrective action. The staff moved the devices during the inspection

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

Observation. Licensing reviewed the file of two staff, one staff file did not contain a criminal record check obtained by the licensee.

Corrective action. The staff said she has applied last week but does not have a record of the criminal record check.
