  Licensing has been notified immediately of any change in the information provided under Section 9 (Applying for a License). [CCLR Sec. 10(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - a new owner for this facility. - Licensing was not notified of any change of ownership prior to this annual routine inspection. During the routine inspection, a conversation occurred with the Licensees and Managers that child care licenses are not transferable.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Safe Play Space Standard of PracticeNon-critical

  Ground Surfacing: The depth of loose fill material (protective surfacing) meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of the Standard of Practice. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space]

  Observation. Within the outdoor play area, Licensing observed the loose fill material i.e. wood chips at the slide exits and playground structure are below minimum depth requirements.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING / Notification of illness or injuryNon-critical

  Licensing is notified within 24 hours after a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H or has a reportable communicable disease. [CCLR Sec.55(2)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - while reviewing the log of minor incident book, a reportable incident described in CCLR Schedule H was not reported to Licensing. A conversation occurred with the Manager and Licensee about the importance of notifying Licensing of all reportable incident described in CCLR Schedule H including when a family seeks medical attention from a doctor or nurse practitioner.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Play Area, Materials and EquipmentNon-critical

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Within the outdoor play area, Licensing observed the following: - 2 propane tanks - a large wooden palette leaning against the shed. ( falling hazard) - foxglove plants (toxic) growing near playground entrance.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING / Care PlansNon-critical

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. Licensing observed one child has an allergy listed in child's file however no care plan was on site. Manager plans to follow up with child's family to verify the status of allergy noted.
