  • A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to a covered container for soiled clothing

    Observation. Licensing observed that diapers were being changed on the floor outside of the kitchen and the kitchen sink was used for handwashing. This was corrected at the time of inspection, Licensee stated that diaper changing would only be done near the bathroom and handwashing would occur in the bathroom sink.

    Corrective action. Ensure a sturdy surface for changing diapers is located outside of the food preparation area.

    Observation. Licensing observed a log was not kept of daily playground checks.

    Corrective action. Ensure a log is kept of all playground inspections, maintenance and repairs.

    Observation. Licensing reviewed three children's files. One file did not include medical insurance plan number, three forms did not contain the sex of the child, two files did not indicate immunization status.

    Corrective action. Ensure a record is kept for each child showing immunization status, child's sex and medical insurance plan number.
