    Observation. Licensing audited seven staff files and observed one staff certificate was not verified. The Manager corrected the item during the inspection.

    Corrective action. Ensure educators or assistants certificates are verified

  • If for any reason an employee described in Column 1 of the table in section 37 ceases employment, the licensee must ensure that within 30 days of the date the employee ceases employment, the licensee has sufficient staff to meet the requirements of section 34

    Corrective action. Ensure that within 30 days of the day the employee ceases employment there is sufficient staff to meet the requirements of section 34 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

    Observation. Licensing observed a current record regarding the implementation of yearly emergency practices was not kept. Manager stated they performed the practice but were not able to find the records.

    Corrective action. Ensure a current record regarding the implementation of yearly emergency practices is kept.

    Observation. Licensing observed that attendance records were not showing children in care were absent.

    Corrective action. Ensure current records for each child in care are showing daily attendance indicating for each day whether the child is absent, present, time of arrival and departure.

    Observation. Licensing observed two ECE and one RA (substituting for an ECEA) with nine toddlers in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program. Minimum requirements for this category of care are one ITE, one ECE and on ECEA for nine children.

    Corrective action. Ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than permitted in Schedule E.
