The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]
Observation. Upon entry, noted the gate at the top of the stairs is difficult to open and close. The gate is new, solid and well constructed but has swollen and settled. The stairs are the main exit route for emergency evacuation and one does not want time lost on struggling with the gate. Discussed with Licensee who agreed to address the matter.
