A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].
Observation. Licensing observed Bi-Fold closet doors that were not secured during today's inspection. This poses as a hazard (corrected during inspection). Licensing observed a laundry room with detergent and other cleaning materials stored on the ground and accessible. The door to the laundry room does not currently have a way to be secured. Licensing observed the right side of the outdoor play space in the front of the home was being secured with loose wood paneling, some mesh netting, and a metal chain link fence that is not in good repair. This poses as a hazard. Licensing was informed that this issue was being addressed and new mesh fencing was going to be installed during the upcoming weekend. The Licensee stated that when installing the new fence a contractor had stated that the trees on the neighbouring yard would be required to be removed in order to install the same type of fence in other areas of the outdoor play space.

Observation. Licensing observed a fire extinguisher available in the facility. An expiry date was not available for the fire extinguisher.
