  Observation. Licensing observed that the last entry in the minor incident log is dated September 11, 2024. Ongoing documentation of minor incidents, illnesses, and unexpected events is required. This includes instances where a child receives minor first aid (e.g., a bandage or ice pack), behavioral observations, and details of when and how parents were notified.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that monthly fire drills have not been documented since the last recorded entry on June 14, 2024. There are no records of emergency drill.

  Children have healthy food and drink in accordance with Canada's Food Guide. [CCLR Sec.48(1)(a)]

  Observation. The manager showed licensing a menu for snacks that was in accordance with Canada's Food Guide,however was not yet served. Only oranges and crackers were part of the snack offered to children. Parents provide food for breakfast and lunch.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. Insufficient emergency supplies were on site. Licensing noted that only dry food was available as part of the emergency plan. Licensing reviewed the issue with the facility's manager.

  Character references have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec.19(1)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing noted that one staff hired as support staff did not had references on file.

  Persons employed as responsible adults are suitably qualified. [CCLR Sec. 29 and 19(4)(b)]

  Observation. LO noted a staff hired as support staff and as a RA had no records of qualification on file.
