  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. The emergency preparedness supplies were inspected. Licensing observed the water supplies have expired. The Licensee removed the water and informed that more will be acquired. Provided to the Licensee are two resources that offer information when considering additional emergency preparedness supplies.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. A care plan specific to seizures is not in place. A template will be sent to the Licensee for this purpose.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Heated WaterNon-critical

  Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec.47]

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Play Area, Materials and EquipmentNon-critical

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. *Licensing observed that the latch on the left-side gate, which leads to the back of the property and the alley, is no longer latching when the gate is closed. As a result, children can easily open the gate and access the back of the property and onto the street. *Licensing observed small toys that posed a choking hazard and removed them to show the licensee. A conversation was held with the licensee to ensure that all materials are age-appropriate, taking into consideration the range of ages in the program.

  A record for each child containing the daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(c)]; A record for each child containing the name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing was unable to observed today's attendance record. The Licensee had corrected this during inspection.
