Hey Marvel, I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received through your organization’s rent supplement program. Their timely assistance and the genuinely committed to help was highly impeccable.

"Unfortunately, despite the good work the organization does, the way the development manager and the food program for families treated me and my children was very bad and very unfair. We left heartbroken instead of feeling supported, and we were deprived of everything. We hope that the method of selecting volunteers or employees will be reviewed so that they are compassionate towards people."

How can so much good come from such a little place? Hope for all.

I received a letter from Sharon Dong Director of Development and Food for Families which said: Based on recent incidents, I regretfully inform that you and your family have been terminated from all programs at CityReach Care Society including but not limited to Food for Families, Back to School Blast and Boxes of Love. CityReach Care Society is private property, and you will not be permitted onto the premises of our main location (2650 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC) or any satellite locations. After reading the letter, I responded to the letter Hi Sharon, can you explain more? I did not understand what the recent events were. I think there is a mistake. I did not receive any response. Then I went to the location and met her in person with a friend of mine. She told me that there were people, not just one person, who complained about you because you said bad words to them. I usually go on Thursdays at 11:50, 10 minutes before the end of the distribution. Usually at that time there are no people. I tried a lot to check the complaints where, how and when but to no avail she just wanted to deprive me of everything. She told me you shouldn't come here and this is private property if you come again I will call the police on you and she was talking to me as if there was something personal between us I think she doesn't want me to go there that's all. My children were very sad because they were waiting for their Christmas presents and I am still shocked and I don't know why even though the staff know me I am a friendly person and I like to help others.
