  Observation. Licensing observed that emergency contacts are not available for all children.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that the electrical cords and extension cord connected to the fish tank was accessible to the children.

  Observation. Licensing observed that children's anaphylaxis care plans were not complete.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry [CCLR Sec. 19(4)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing did not observe proof of verification of ECE certificates.

  The licensee keeps current records of each employee as required under Sec. 19(1). [CCLR Sec.56(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that staff records for an RA on site were not complete.

  The medications are not readily accessible to employees. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed that EpiPens kept for 2 children with anaphylaxis allergies had expired.

  Care plans are not reviewed at least once a year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. [CCLR Sec. 58(2)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed that a child's allergy care plan had not been reviewed/updated since November 2020.
