A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].
Observation. During today's visit, Licensing observed construction occurring outside the playground. Due to its close proximity, Licensing expressed her concerns about the children's potential exposure to dust, poor air quality and noise. The Team-Lead explained that there's a plan is in place to mitigate this issue. Licensing informed Team Lead that this information must be shared with Licensing to ensure Health and Safety of the children.

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. On August 14 2025, Licensing observed the following: *a loose electrical cord being taped to the wall in the cubby area - tape is peeling off the wall and is being accessible to children. Discussed with the program manager, licensing recommends finding a permanent means of securing the cord. *a damaged and ripped window film on the main entrance door. *the door in the gross motor room appeared to be damaged due to door slamming. - This item was addressed. *the high-touch/ use areas on the dry walls appeared to show signs of wear especially in the eating area and the gross motor room. A touch up of paint is required. *wooden steps in the kitchen appeared to be in need of cleaning. *wooden step stools in the washroom appeared to be in need of cleaning. *the high touch/use areas in the wooden window ledge/window sill in the eating area showing signs of wear and water damage/stain. *a small green couch with exposed foam and inner material. (in the main activity space) During today's visit, Licensing observed that the outstanding items noted above have not yet been addressed.

Observation. *A loose and unsecured cord was observed to be coming from the top of the cubbies down the wall to the electrical socket. *The baby monitors and a hepa filter cord in the small nap room were loose and unsecured. *The office door was left open and unsecured allowing children access to the interior and contents.

Observation. *Care plans were observed however one was missing expiry and location of medication and another one had out of date information pertaining to use of medication.

Observation. The wooden features in the outdoor play area continue to age. The Manager reports that the climbing structure in the playground has been approved for replacement. One of the wooden posts in the sandbox has rotted. The Manager reports that the maintenance department has been alerted and the post will be replaced.
