The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. LO observed the following in one classroom: • In all areas of the classroom, walls appeared soiled and were marked with paint and marker • In all areas of the classroom, chipped paint/drywall on walls • Washroom doorway, walls, mirrors, sink, and garbage receptacle appeared soiled and in need of a deep clean • Mop and bucket stored in washroom LO observed the following in one classroom: • Paper pieces taped to the floor with packaging tape that was soiled and peeling

Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]
Observation. All the cots are clean and in good repair, but it was noted that when they are stacked, the legs are resting on the sheets and this will spread germs and dirt.
